How To Lose Weight Without Loose Skin? And Without Needing To Exercise

Lose weight without lose skin

When the topic is losing weight, many people dread the appearance of saggy skin. Having loose skin is common after the weight loss process, but it is possible to lose weight without loose skin both on the body and face. In this article I’m going to discuss how to lose weight without loose skin and without exercise?

How To Lose Weight without Loose Skin?

If you want to lose weight and are afraid of the appearance of saggy skin, the first thing you should do is becoming aware and understand the reason why? Why most people get saggy skin when they lose weight? Have you ever thought of this? Do you know why most people are even able to lose all the weight they want but in the end are not happy with their result because of the loose skin they get afterwards?

Well! This is because most people when they decide to lose weight, they look for methods of losing weight that neglects their health and leave their body undernourished. Essentially, Their number one concern is to reduce the number in the scale – they do whatever it takes to get the scale down, they do anything to get results quickly, neglecting their health and malnourishing their body.

When it comes to losing weight, majority of people opt for fad diets, slimming pill or shakes, but none of these methods of losing weight nourishes the body, none of these worries about their health. Just think with me, a diet often restricts certain food or food groups – right?  Generally, if you stop eating a type of food or a food group, you going to be deficient of certain nutrients because you are not consuming specific nutrients found specifically on the type of food or food group excluded by the diet you are doing.

Also, when you lose weight using slimming pills or shake, you overwork your liver, and you overload your intestine, which are the two main detoxifying organs. Slimming pills and shakes don’t take nutrients to your cells, on the contrary, they end up using the little nutrients you have, to try to lessen the toxins you are putting into your body, to try to lessen the food colourings, the artificial flavour, the sweeteners that are present in the shakes. To try to lessen the chemicals and the chemical additives that are harmful to your health that are present in the slimming pills.

Loose Skin And Collagen

As you can see, traditional diets tend to restrict the intake of specific nutrients and there are no nutrients in the slimming pills and shakes – there is no nutrient to be able to provide a good skin structure, good muscles, good fibre, and a good appearance of the skin. That’s why people lose weight but are then left with saggy skin purely because they’ve lost weight malnourishing their body.

Lose weight without lose skin

The structure of the skin includes things like epidermis, dermis, adipose tissue, and elastin, fibroblast, collagen, blood vessel etc., all these needs nutrients to form. We need to consume good fats to have good looking skin – good fat is part of the structure of the skin, so you don’t have to be afraid of it. When you lose weight using slimming pills, it blocks fat absorption which makes it impossible to have a good skin structure.

One of the mistakes most people make to try to reduce the appearance of loose skin is to take collagen, but you cannot just think about supplementing with collagen and believe it will help tighten your saggy skin. It is not just collagen that makes up the structure of the skin, there are several other things, there is elastin -a very important fibre that promotes the collagen structure, there is also good fat, blood vessels and many other things. The structure of the skin does not just depend on collagen alone– to have the appearance of a good skin, you need collagen, antioxidants, and fibre which found in real food.

Buying just collagen to tighten the skin is often money wasted! Do you know why? because most people when buying collagen don’t even know the basis of choice, they buy without knowing how to read the label and end up buying collagen that is full of junk on its composition. They buy collagen that has sugar, maltodextrin, artificial sweetener – sucralose, which is a poison. It will not solve it -you won’t see any results.

Loose Skin And Physical Activity

The other thing people do to try to fight sagginess is to exercise. I’m not saying that exercise doesn’t work, but exercise alone doesn’t nourish the cells, there’s no antioxidant, good fat, or proteins. Exercise works as an ally but don’t think exercise will solve the sagginess problem – it will help but won’t solve it.

Anyway, if you chose to exercise, you’ll have to nourish your body, add antioxidant, give your body fibre, and real food. physical activity is excellent, helps to form musculature and to lessen the appearance of saggy skin. But for you to form musculature, fibroblasts, elastin, and collagen only the nutrients found on real food will do.

Weight Loss Without Loose Skin and Without Relying On Physical activity

Lose weight without lose skin

So then Kedia, how to lose weight without loose skin and without depending on physical activity? So what is the right way? First of all, you need to understand that if you want to lose weight without getting saggy skin and without being dependent on exercise, you must focus on cellular/functional nutrition. The right way is for you to focus on cellular/functional nutrition so that weight loss can happen in a healthy way, with nutrients to both speed up your metabolism and to nourish the entire structure of your skin – the formation of collagen, elastin, fibroblasts, and musculature. If you are going to practice physical activity, do it as an ally, not as a solution.

If you want to lose weight and remain thin without the appearance of saggy skin, you need to also understand that it is not a diet, but it is losing weight healthy, it is nourishing your cells, it is nourishing your body, it is eating real food, and stopping counting calories, and to visualize that healthy eating habits are for life and not just for a period.

Diets are usually done for a little while, for a few days, there’s time to start and to finish – diet undernourishes your body, you lose weight quickly, but when you stop the diet, you come face to face with Yo-yo effect and it is this constant losing and gaining of weight back and forth that stretches and pulls your skin making the saggy skin even more apparent.

Conclusion

So, stop wasting time and money looking for a weight loss miracle – there is no miracle, there is method – there are nutrients that God gave us that come from nature and It’s up to you to gain knowledge and be wise to use these nutrients to your advantage. You don’t need to stop eating the things you like! It is not an exception that defines you, it is what you do daily, in your routine that matters.

Thinking about how to lose weight without loose skin and without relying on physical exercise? start to view exercise as an ally, not as solution – think of the entire structure that involves the skin, in the gym there is no good fat, amino acids, fibre or water – but all this you find in the nature in real food. So, let go of the traditional methods of losing weight.

If you still scared of losing weight and getting saggy skin, it is because you still thinking of slimming pills, shakes and diets which will really leave your skin saggy. But when you start thinking of losing weight eating, nourishing the cells – you don’t need to depend on exercise, you can use it at later stage as an ally to strengthen you when you’re thinner.

  1. Hi Kedia, I’m fortunate as never needed to lose weight, but really enjoyed this post. I’m mindful of my diet though and plan my meals to include plenty of fresh vegetables. I’m pleased to hear exercise doesn’t tighten saggy skin! I walk most days but never tried any sit ups or press ups. You’ve provided a lot of useful information including structure of the skin.

    1. Thank you Kathy for your comment!

I’m glad to hear that you are in your ideal weight. Eating healthy is for everyone for the maintenance of good health and I’m pleased to hear that you already follow this principle.

  2. Wow, Kedia, that was an awesome post. I did not realize that collagen does not work for saggy skin. I went from 280 pounds to 200 pounds over the years and lost my saggy skin but did not fully understand why. But, your post helped me understand the why now. I thank you for that. There are no weight loss miracles. I have found a whole food diet is the best approach. The additives, chemicals, and processing of our food are the problem. It causes insulin resistance and weight gain. Once I changed to a whole food diet, everything changed including my health. My health continues to improve.

    1. Thank you Keith for your comment!

Indeed processing, additives, chemicals, food colouring, gluten, lactose and casein are highly inflammatory and damaging to our health. Hence why my advise is to always read the label and to avoid or reduce as much as possible the consumption of these food

  3. Thanks for this informative article Kedia. I can attest to this, back in 2017 I was 250 lbs, today I am 175 lbs, and to be honest, I actually exercised a lot, but I don’t mind, I have always loved to exercise(even when I was bigger). But exercise or not, the principle is the same, I followed a cico calories in calories out at first, and then modified it to keep a 2000 calorie diet, but incorporating mostly all healthy foods (meats and veggies) and once in a blue moon I’d have a nice dessert.

You are definitely right about there being no such thing as a weight loss miracle, I just can’t trust most supplements because they are not regulated, so who knows what are in them. I do say most however because I personally indulge in the Quest Nutrition Salted Caramel Protein Powder! I’ve heard there is some heavy metals in it, but I don’t care, it is the best tasting protein powder I ever had no cap! I mix it with my oatmeal some mornings for breakfast, and it’s just incredible, melts right in my mouth, I don’t even eat it for its nutrition, I just love it because it tastes so darn good!

    1. Thank you David Nelly for your comment!

congratulation for weight loss testimony – much more than the joy of being thin is the satisfaction of feeling healthier with a lot more energy -keep up the good work.

  4. Hi Kedia,

I’ve always wondered why some people get saggy skin when they lose weight. I’ve never been a fan of fad diets and diet pills, but it makes sense why taking these and not properly nourishing your body may lead to saggy skin. I hadn’t even thought of it.
I’ve always been a slim person but over the last year I couldn’t move due to a back injury and my belly muscles turned into fat. What healthy food do you recommend I eat to lose the fat? Combining exercise with healthy food can work, right?

    1. Thank you Christne for your comment!

Belly fat may be an indication of a fatty liver and maybe caused by the excessive consumption of food containing gluten (a protein highly inflammatory). I would advise you to consider detoxifying the liver in the first instance, then reduce the consume of food containing gluten and trans fat. Daily consumption of certain foods such as chia seed, spices with thermogenic action (cinnamon, ginger, pepper, mustard etc), extra virgin olive oil, red fruits, avocados and probiotics may help reduce belly fat. But remember there isn’t a singular food on itself capable of making you lose the belly fat- it a strategy, a combination of action/food that will make you lose it.

  5. Wow. What a great article. Lots of common sense in here.

And it is common sense that people need when wanting to reduce weight. the excess weight was gained over time due to poor dietary and lifestyle choices, so why do people think they should be able to lose all the excess undesirable weight quickly, without consequences? Nature just doesn’t work like that!

And that’s why dieting and pills and tonics are never a viable long-term solution. And as you say, in the short-term they cause ‘damage’ and can leave us with saggy skin…. all because we are doing things contrary to how nature does them.

Your quote: “The right way is for you to focus on cellular/functional nutrition so that weight loss can happen in a healthy way, with nutrients to both speeds up your metabolism and to nourish the entire structure of your skin – the formation of collagen, elastin, fibroblasts, and musculature. If you are going to practice physical activity, do it as an ally, not as a solution” sums it up nicely for me.

    Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

  6. Thank you for your article! It was very informative and educational. I had no idea about the various causes of sagging skin from weight loss. I am trying to lose weight currently but luckily I am not doing any “fad” dieting, just watching my calories and eating healthier. I definitely need to start exercising more as well.
I can tell you really know your stuff, I will check out your other articles. Really glad I found your website!

  7. Interesting read, Kedia. What is your opinion on intermittent fasting for weight loss? I have been doing quite a bit of research on intermittent fasting lately and there seems to be evidence to suggest that fasting can be very beneficial, but of course it needs to be done in the right way. However, I still cannot get the idea out of my head that during the fasting process you are starving yourself from nutrition in a way? So your opinion on this will be interesting. Many thanks!

    1. Thank you Schalk for your comment!

Checkout these two posts on intermittent fasting and hopefully, it will tell you everything you need to know about fasting. Intermittent fasting has endless benefits to our body and health and yes I do it and strongly recommend it.

  8. Hi there. Thanks so much for this post. I am in the process of losing weight. I have over 100 pounds to lose and I fear saggy skin. I want to lose it super fast, but I know that’s not the way. I may also have an intolerance to gluten. I’ll have to check. I love that you emphasize that there’s no such thing as a weight loss miracle pill. People think there’s some magic to losing weight and maintaining weight loss. As you said, there isn’t – it’s calories in, calories out, exercise and eating a variety of healthy foods. Thank you for debunking the myth of the “one food that will make you lose weight”. Great job.

  9. Hi, Kedia. I like the fact that you stand out from the rest, I mean, most people out there tend to encourage and recommend pills for losing weight without loose skin and without needing to exercise, but you recommend only natural and traditional stuff. That’s wonderful.

Plus, I agree with you, when you stop dieting, you come back to reality and might get back to the same issue again. It’s all about healthy habits as you stated.

But, do you have any idea if there are programs out there to follow for some recommendation on the type of food to eat? I mean, what do you mean by real food? I guess organic food?

  10. Great Article Kedia! Not only shared some great tips, you also touched upon an area most lose weight articles miss…that i.e loose skin problems. Most people nowadays rely on artificial, synthetic weight loss products, without realizing there are plenty of natural products that will do the same in quite less time and much more effective way.

I haven’t heard much about Real Food before this… Looks like I do need some further reading on this.
